LAGCOE ANNOUNCES KEYNOTE SPEAKERS FOR 2019 CONFERENCE

LAFAYETTE, LA (July 22, 2019) – LAGCOE leadership announces the keynote speakers for its 2019 Technical Exposition and Conference, scheduled for October 9-11 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.

• Kimberly McHugh, Vice President of Drilling & Completions, Chevron
• Kevin Krausert, President & CEO, Beaver Drilling, Ltd.
• Roger W. Jenkins, President & CEO, Murphy Oil Corporation

Chevron’s Kimberly McHugh is scheduled to speak on Wednesday, Oct. 9, the first morning of the conference. McHugh is a senior executive with Chevron, responsible for Global Drilling and Completions, including HES, Assurance, OC and planning of drilling operations globally. She will address the challenges associated with the rapid pace of new technology, as well as the opportunities for pushing beyond existing boundaries.

Kevin Krausert will headline the Thursday morning session with a discussion of the unprecedented period of change and disruption facing the drilling industry. He will review the illuminating lessons from prior transitions and talk about the groundbreaking work his company, Beaver Drilling, is doing with the Avatar Program, a collaborative partnership with the University of Calgary, Virgin Galactic and five major oil and gas producers.

Friday morning, Oct. 11, Murphy Oil President and CEO Roger W. Jenkins is slated to talk about current forecasts for oil over the long term, including a macro view of oil markets. He will also preview the technologies that will be needed in the offshore arena in the coming years. As the head of an independent exploration and production company with a portfolio of offshore and onshore assets, Jenkins is well positioned to discuss the future prospects of the oil and gas industry.
