Several high-level speakers have been confirmed for LAGCOE 2017, which will be held 24-26 October in Lafayette, La. They include: Scott Angelle, Director of the US Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE); Randall Luthie, President of the National Ocean Industries Association; Allen Fore, Vice President of Public Affairs for Kinder Morgan; Ibrahim Al-Alawi, Deputy CEO for AlMansoori; and Mark Mathis, Producer of the two documentaries, Fractured and spOILed.

“We are thrilled to present an impressive slate of technical and international presentations for LAGCOE 2017,” said Susan Frizzell, LAGCOE 2017 technical sessions Chairman and President of Adley Services. “These sessions are sure to educate attendees about the latest tools and services from the world’s leading suppliers, offering practical solutions for enhancing production and minimizing costs, both of which are mission-critical objectives in the modern oilfield.”

LAGCOE will dedicate a session to the LAGCOE New Technology Showcase, also sponsored by Drilling Contractor. A number of exhibiting companies will be selected to showcase their new technology to industry leaders and attendees. Applications are available here. Deadline for submission is 30 June.

New for LAGCOE 2017 will be the 2017 Louisiana Energy Research and Development Forum, organized by the Energy Institute of Louisiana, which is the flagship research unit for energy at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. The forum will feature more than 50 technical presentations from energy experts from across the globe. Within the forum, all forms of energy, including petroleum and alternative, will be showcased. Participation will come from universities, investors and government entities. The University of Louisiana at Lafayette will organize the LAGCOE Student Paper Competition, which allows university students to showcase their latest research to a panel of judges.
