Medford A. McCoy worked as a division manager, in the production department. McCoy was a registered petroleum professional and worked for Conoco, inc., in many engineering and supervisory positions all over Texas and in Louisiana since he received his B.S. degree in petroleum from the University of Texas in 1950. He was a chairman of the advisory committee of the Corpus Christi chapter of API and an active member of SPE of AIME. McCoy served as the board of directors of the Permian Basin Oil show and of the Gulf Coast School of Drilling Practices. He was also among the first board member and executive committee of Lagcoe. He was the only Lagcoe chairman to hold the Lagcoe chairman’s title for two years.
