2007 Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Exposition Fact Sheet

PURPOSE: The Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Exposition (LAGCOE) exhibits and technical sessions are designed to support bold, innovative approaches in the quest for energy. Exhibiting companies display state-of-the-art technology for onshore and offshore drilling, exploration, production and environmental protection. LAGCOE is the second largest oil and gas industry exposition in the United States.

FOUNDING DATE: LAGCOE has been fueling the global quest for energy for over 50 years, since 1955.

ATTENDEES: In 2007, more than 16,000 engineers, technicians, executives, operators, scientists, sales people and managers attended the show, representing a variety of fields in the energy industry. International visitors and delegations from Angola, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, England, Equatorial Guinea, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Nigeria, Russia, Scotland, South Africa, Suriname, Switzerland, Taiwan, Trinidad, the United Arab Emirates and Venezuela also were in attendance at LAGCOE 2003. Attendance by U.S. and foreign industry personnel is expected to rise in 2007.

EXHIBITORS: LAGCOE 2009 will feature 334 exhibiting companies displaying technologies, products and services in over 730 indoor and outdoor exhibit spaces.
