Otto Candies, III is the Vice Chair and Chief Operating Officer of Otto Candies, LLC, an offshore marine transportation company. Otto previously served as the Secretary/Treasurer and Purchasing Director. He also served as the river marine transportation specialist for Compania Paraguaya de Transporte Fluvial, S.A. He is currently responsible for all administrative duties at Otto Candies, LLC and serves as the company liaison with the US Coast Guard, American Bureau of Shipping and Exxon during the oil spill in Valdez, Alaska. He has extensive experience in the marine industry, both domestic and international. Otto serves as an ordained Elder for John Calvin Presbyterian Church and is active in both the Tulane and Nicholls Alumni groups. He currently serves on the Nicholls College of Business Executive Advisory Board, the Nicholls Colonel Club, and the Cerebral Palsy of Louisiana Telethon. Otto is a graduate of Nicholls State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Magna Cum Laude and where he played varsity football. He obtained his Master of Business Administration from Tulane University.
